crystals Before & After
2 Sizes = 1-2 mm ( Medium )
2-4 mm (Standard)
increases infiltration rates of water through clay soils -
Reduces Watering Frequency - by 50 - 75% in potted plants
by 15 - 40% on lawns , 20 - 40% on irrigated field crops.
significantly reduces water stress for all plants
Superior absorption rates - crystal absorbs 400 times its density in de-ionized water
1 lb. of crystals will absorb/hold 25-50 gallons of water in the soil
Reduces leaching fertilizers - crystals absorb, store and release soluble fertilizer and nutrients
decreasing losses to leaching of fertilizers and nutrients Increased germination/early growth Usable on most plants - great for trees and shrubs, especially when transplanting/transporting
good for transplanting annual, perennials, etc
good for hanging baskets, stops drying out (Premier Hanging Basket Mix)
use as a medium for cut flowers, instead of plain water; less refilling
Long Lasting - crystals last for a long time
Low application rates - crystal application rates do not need to be large to be effective
use 4-7 lbs. per 100 sq. ft
Hydrosource water crystals can last 15-20 years in the
soil

Complete Growing and Safety instructions
- Standard grind (2-4 mm) makes gel chunks that range in size from the
tip of your little finger - pea gravel size - up to as large as half the
size of your entire thumb.
- Medium grind (1-2 mm) makes gel chunks that range in size from small
chunks the size of the head of a pin up to pea gravel size, like the
end of your little finger.
6" pot = 1 tbsp. dry granules or (2 cups hydrated gel)
8" pot = 3 tbsp. dry granules or (6 cups hydrated gel)
10" pot = 4 tbsp. dry granules or (8 cups hydrated gel)
crystals should be mixed in lower half of pot because water tends to flow to the bottom of the pot
apply by hand, or with broadcast spreader, then turn under with spade or roto-tiller
The basic claim to fame of Hydrosource Water crystals when used in agriculture, for
flower arrangement or in hydrogarments is the extended length of time it
will hold onto stored water - this is a simple physics issue. Compared
to the tiny particles of soil, Hydrosource has a much smaller relative
surface area, and Hydrosource is capable of absorbing a massive amount
of water in comparison to tiny soil particles. Soil Particles lose their
stored water very quickly through evaporation - Hydrosource loses stored
water very slowly by comparison, due to its relatively smaller surface
area. No magic here, just basic physics.

When you add water to Hydrosource you will notice obvious size
differences for each fully hydrated grind:
